Ugly Fruit Festival is an event geared towards the elimination of food waste. Over 150,000 pounds of ugly spuds are left in fields every year to rot. It is imperative to understand that because a fruit or vegetable is not the most aesthetically pleasing does not mean that it is not as good as any other food of its category.
